Develop Pastor Profile including Job Description
Develop Applicant Questionnaire
Phase 4 – Develop List of Potential
Pastor Applicants
Review current inventory of resumes (previously submitted)
Contact referral sources for potential candidates
Develop a master list of Potential Pastor Applicants
Phase 5 – Shortlist Discernment
Contact Potential Pastor Applicants for preliminary screening
(listen to sermons of Pastor applicants, screen resumes and
select for Interviews)
Phase 6 – Discerning Most Suitable
Applicants
Interview Selected Pastor Applicants
Select final Pastor Applicants
Visit Pastor Applicant churches
Phase 7 – Interviews (Pre-Candidating)
Interview References from final Pastor Applicants
Select and recommend final Pastor Candidate to Deacons
